News: The new year feels like it has barely begun and already there are many changes taking place. There appears to be a great deal of optimism in many corners of society along with much talk about a spiritual revival taking place. I see an increase in Eucharistic adoration, 33-day consecration to our Lady and to St. Joseph.  Many rosary movements both private and public with a great concern about the future direction of our world.  Pope Francis has proclaimed the Jubilee Year in Rome and around the world to be a year of  Hope encouraging pilgrimages to the Catholic Holy Sites around the world. I hope many will consider our Shrine to make a pilgrimage. There are many events we celebrate in February.  We will remember in a special way those who are sick, on the First Saturday in February by honoring Our Lady of Lourdes with a statue of her presence at the shrine on that day. (see flyer)  We also remember the children of Fatima, St. Jacinta and Francisco whose feast day is celebrated on the 20th along with the venerable Sr. Lucia who we remember on Feb. 13th which is the twentieth anniversary of her death. And on Saturday the 22nd of February we will celebrate their lives with a solemn Mass and rosary.  Many miracles continue to occur at the shrine as we continue to pray for all those who send us their petition from all around the world. I want to especially take this moment to thank all of you who have sent in donations or who continually support us at the shrine, you know that we are able to continue because of your generosity.   This being the heating season and the bills for heating the shrine have risen quite substantially we ask that you consider making a tax deductible donation to help fray the cost.  If any of you would like to receive a statement of donation for tax purposes please let us know, for we typically do not send them out unless there is a donation of more than $500. However if you have donated to the shrine over 2024 and would like a record of your donations let us know, most of the donations we receive are anonymous which is fine. This year the season of lent doesn’t begin until March 5th with Ash Wednesday coming late this year. Let us remember the homeless during this cold season and those victims of natural disasters and wildfires .
