News: Dear Crusaders of Fatima along with the melting snow Holy week arrives with the change of season as lent draws to a close. The new season begins by the awakening of creation as life begins to appear once again. This is symbolic in anticipation and in association of Easter and the resurrection of Jesus Christ. The high holy days fall on the first weekend in April this year. The First Friday on Good Friday and First Saturday on Holy Saturday, therefore we will not be hosting any formal services at the shrine except the Stations of the Cross on Good Friday at 10:00am in the morning. The Shrine will however be open all through the weekend for anyone who wishes to stop by to spend time with Our Lady on these solemn days, to pray a rosary, or to light a candle. We plan to celebrate Divine Mercy Devotion on Saturday April 11th by reciting the Chaplet of Divine Mercy along with other prayers around the 3:00 O’clock hour all are welcomed. I would like to take a moment on behalf of the officers and promoters of the Crusaders of Fatima to wish all of you and your loved ones the most blessed Holy Days as we celebrate the joys of the resurrection. Our Faith is restored in conjunction with the renewal of our baptismal promises once again. It is good to recall in scripture when Our Lord states in a vision to St. John “people who have not soiled their garments shall walk with me in white, for they are worthy. He who conquers shall be clad thus in white garments and I will not blot his name out of the book of life; I will confess his name before my Father and before his angels.” REV3:2 St. John mentions white garments a number of times; the color symbolizes purity and also the joy of victory. The symbol of the “book of life”, which occurs often in the Apocalypse, is taken from the Old Testament. Those whose names are in the book will share in the promises of salvation. The names of the victors will stay in the “book of life” which list those who have proved loyal to Christ. Scripture also says that the hour will come upon us like a thief so be prepared; “I will come like a thief” this is simply a warning to us to live in the grace of God and be ready to render our account to him. “ that day will come for us. It will be our last day , but we are not afraid of it. Trusting firmly in God’s grace, we are ready for this very moment to be generous and courageous, and take loving care of little things: we are ready to go and meet our Lord, with lamps burning brightly. For the feast of feast awaits us in heaven” St. Josemaria. (Friends of God, 40.) Scepter press. Jesus says “See, I make all things new” REV. Alleluia, Alleluia!! The Lord has Arisen! Truly!
